Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer

Cute Dog Stickers
Cute, funny, and/or moving, old paintings of dogs. Just some of my own favorites.

Many have varying Creative Commons licenses, according to their museums. But Wikipedia says that faithful reproductions/photos of public domain works are STILL public domain in the USA. Wikipedia’s reasoning makes sense to me, and this is how their view’s worded on the images shared there:

“The official position taken by the Wikimedia Foundation is that “faithful reproductions of two-dimensional public domain works of art are public domain”.
This photographic reproduction is therefore also considered to be in the public domain in the United States. In other jurisdictions, re-use of this content may be restricted.”

So, if you intend to use an image for anything, then you’ll need to look at whatever the public domain rules are if you’re not in the USA; if you’re in the USA, then I guess it’s OK, but I’m no authority on the subject. It’s complicated. Many articles are out there on it. Here’s one that seems pretty good: https://www.jcms-journal.com/articles/10.5334/jcms.1021217/
